This week on NXT Elias Samson faced Kassius Ohno in a ‘Loser Lives NXT’ match. Last week on NXT, Elias Samson confronted Cassius Ohno backstage and told him that he did not belong in the NXT. He challenged Kassius Ohno to a ‘Loser Lives NXT’ match which Ohno accepted.
This week on the main event of NXT, Elias Samson faced Kassius with the stipulation mentioned above on the line. It was a very good match. It was booked for over fifteen minutes where both athletes performed really very well. The match ended after the Rolling Elbow finishing manoeuvre.
After the match, Elias Samson was refusing to leave as security guards came out to escort him. Elias wanted his guitar back before leaving which Kassius was holding. Kassius destroyed instead of returning it to Elias as a mad Elias was escorted by the security guards.
Elias Samson has quite a time remaining in his contract so it is quite clear that this match was built to elevate Elias Samson to the main roster. Every time these type of matches take place in the NXT, the one who loses comes to the main roster. Last time we a ‘Loser Lives NXT’ match was at NXT Takeover – Brooklyn where the NXT Women’s champion Asuka defeated Bayley and Bayley came to join the main roster.
Elias Samson is in the NXT for last three years. He has been regular wrestler there despite of injuries, even though he could not win any championship.
Elias Samson can be a great mid-card in any brand. Going by the current condition of both Raw and Smackdown rosters, it would be better if Samson goes to Smackdown because Smackdown does not have many mid cards on their roster. They have a jobber filled the roster. They need some mid cards immediately. Elias Samson can certainly be the fix.
