Eric Bischoff Explains WWE’s Talent Releases As “Market Correction”

WWE has been criticized by the entire world of the critics and the fans of professional wrestling. A lot of wrestlers also loathed on WWE for firing so many wrestlers. In this pandemic situation losing job is the worst thing that could happen to anyone.

And that had happened to millions of individuals throughout the entire world. Same thing happened in WWE as well. This is why a lot of people criticized Vince McMahon for taking away jobs from wrestlers during this pandemic situation.

However, a number of individuals defended Vince McMahon for making such a decision. It has been explained that these budget cuts were necessary to survive strongly during this pandemic.

In this situation people did not have enough money on their hand to buy each and every pay per view event, neither there were fans in the stadium. For over a year WWE had to organise their shows behind the closed doors. So a budget cut was definitely needed. The only question is, if their method was right.

Eric Bischoff who was the former Boss of WCW recently spoke on his 83 Weeks Podcasr where he talked about the Talent releases made by WWE. He explained these talent releases of WWE are nothing but market correction. He said;

“The rest of the talent, here’s my impression from way outside the lines and being on the outside looking in: I think this is just a market correction. I think WWE for whatever reason stacked a lot of talent, and I’m talking about developmental talent.

“These are not all big name, well established characters or personalities in WWE, a lot of these people I’ve never heard of before. Only because they haven’t been prominent on Raw or SmackDown.

“I think that for whatever reason the strategy over the last five or six years with NXT is being re-evaluated and as a result there’s just a lot of talent that’s looking for work today. That’s just a market correction.”
