Pro Wrestling legend Eric Young earned most of his fame from outside of WWE. He wrestled under the Total Nonstop Action for over twelve long years and not only he earned most of his fame from the TNA he was also pretty famous among the fans as well.

In 2016, Eric Young made his much-awaited WWE return. Yes, that is true, his appearance in 2016 in WWE was a return. He wrestled in WWE in the early stage of his career. He appeared a total of three times in the WWE ring, twice in WWE Velocity and once in WWE Heat.

Eric Young Reveals Why Sanity Failed In The Main Roster

Upon his return, Eric Young joined NXT and formed a stable named Sanity which included Killian Dain, Alexander Wolfe, and Nikki Cross. Their stable became really hit among the wrestling fans and everyone was badly waiting for Sanity to make their mark on the main roster.

But unfortunately, Sanity failed miserably in the main roster. Recently Young appeared on the Wrestling Perspective podcast where he revealed the reason behind Sanity’s failure,

“Brian James, a very good friend of mine and I know he’s in the hospital and I hope everything’s OK [James has since been released from the hospital since the interview was recorded], he stood up and said ‘Eric Young is ridiculously talented, he could work with Jeff’ and they’re like, ‘OK, let’s do that.’

Then it was like, ‘Well, he can’t beat Jeff because he’s new and Jeff’s the US Champ, so how do we get out of that?’ ‘OK, so let’s have The Usos run out and we’ll make it a six-man tag.’ [Then it was] ‘Well… we can’t have The Usos lose because they’re the tag champs, and Jeff is the US Champ, so our first match on SmackDown, we got beat. I remember looking at the other guys in the group and said, ‘Guys, start thinking about other things to do because Sanity’s dead.’ They broke our legs before we could walk.

The first time wrestling, we got beat cleanly in a six-man match, we’re done. I don’t think it was ever by design…it was just this weird spiral of odd circumstances that led us to that. That’s how it went, that’s how it works sometimes in wrestling. It’s a wild business.”

Eric Young is currently in Impact Wrestling since last year and it is rumoured that he may soon join the All Elite Wrestling. We hope to see the best of him wherever he goes.
