One of the most popular superstars of the modern-day era of the WWE was Dean Ambrose who is now going by the name of Jon Moxley. Although he’s not with the WWE Universe, anymore, all the members must have sent their best wishes to the Cleveland-billed name as he’s going through a tough phase in life and hence took a bold step to overcome the issue.
AEW President, CEO, General Manager, and Head Of Creative Team, Tony Khan took to Twitter, last night to reveal that Jon Moxley is going into rehab, and he has also allowed Khan to make the announcement.
“Jon Moxley has allowed me to share with you that he is entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program. Jon is a beloved member of the AEW family. We all stand with him and Renee, and all of his family and friends, as he shifts his focus to recovery,” Khan wrote to inform the large fanbase of Jon Moxley about his current state.
Helpline number revealed for supporting Jon Moxley
Khan also mentioned in a follow-up tweet that AEW is standing by Jon Moxley’s choice, and supporting him as much as they can. The tweet also revealed a helpline number to which people can reach out to offer more help,
“Jon is making a very brave choice to get help, and we’re embracing his choice and supporting him however we can. I’m proud to call Jon a friend, and like many of you, I’m also a fan of Mox and look forward to a time in the future when he is eventually ready to return to the ring. Jon Moxley was scheduled to face Orange Cassidy on the upcoming AEW Dynamite episode, in a match for the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament. The winner would then advance to the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view on November 13 to face Bryan Danielson in the finals (in a match that was expected to have Bryan vs. Mox lineup). There is no word on how who will fill up for Mox but more updates are expected during Dynamite.
Jon Moxley and his wife Renee Paquette have welcomes their first daughter, earlier this year. The couple recently sold their Las Vegas home while Mox has also released his autobiography which is available on amazon via this link.
