Peyton Royce of the former group known as The IIconics is no more a WWE Superstar. For the past year and a half, WWE has been releasing several employees and talents to keep their budget safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The former champion was one of those unfortunate names who had to depart the company despite having all the talents to shine bright.
Alongside Peyton Royce, Billie Kay was also released back in April which did end up shocking many fans at that point. But on the other hand, many fans considered the bright part of the move as they could showcase their talents anywhere else in the world. As of now, they still have to sign with any wrestling promotion but they are going to be back as a team.

Peyton Royce opened up on her WWE release
While speaking on her Off Her Chops podcast, Peyton Royce previously talked about her WWE release, where she revealed having a terrible meeting with Vince McMahon. Per her comments, this meeting with the WWE Chairman was the reason that she was ultimately fired from the company. It saw her apologizing to Vince McMahon for being a boring person.
“He just stared at me and in my head I’m just like, ‘make something up’ and I couldn’t make anything up – nothing was coming out. I’m not a liar. I feel like he could have seen right through that. I basically said to him ‘I’m sorry, I’m boring’ and I just like to be home on my off days’. I didn’t contribute much during that unfortunately and that’s probably why I lost the job,” Peyton Royce stated on her podcast about the release.
The IIconics have proven themselves to be a very talented duo and wherever they sign, they are likely to be valuable assets, moving forward. They previously had a green card issue which has recently been sorted out while their no-compete clause has also come to an end on July 14th. For the time being, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay will perform in the indies by the name of the IInspiration.
