WrestleMania 37 is less than 40 days away in the calendar and the initial setup for the match card of the show has already begun. Two matches have been confirmed for the Show of Shows and both of them are from the SmackDown brand. The Men and Women’s Royal Rumble match winners have picked the respective reigning champions from the blue brand.
As the rest of the card for WrestleMania 37 is slowly shaping up, we can certainly point out that some of the matches from the Raw side have already been teased, especially on this week’s show. Bobby Lashley has finally become WWE Champion when he made The Miz tap out to the Hurt Lock in a Lumberjack Match in the main event.
After this Title change, it’s a no-brainer that Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship will go down at WrestleMania 37. In the Women’s Title picture, Charlotte Flair said she wants to face Asuka for the RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37 and that’s how it should happen.
Real Reason Melina Never Returned To WWE In 2020
It was previously reported that WWE was planning a multi-woman match for the RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37 which could involve Asuka, Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, and Lacey Evans. Now the latter one is out of the context due to pregnancy and there’s certainty around Ripley’s debut, either. So a singles contest is expected.
Going by the other ongoing storylines, Shane McMahon is gradually building an angle with Braun Strowman that should result in a match. Also, The Miz has lost his WWE Title who should now move back to his feud against Bad Bunny and Damian Priest.
Edge Wanted To Face Roman Reigns In WWE For A Long Time
WWE did not hold the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania 36 in 2020, as there were precautions related to the early COVID-19 pandemic, but it’s likely that these matches should return on WrestleMania 37. Such a battle royal went down at Survivor Series in November. Plus, WWE also held Royal Rumble matches back in January.
