WWE Title match has become official for the Extreme Rules 2021 pay-per-view. The match will see Bobby Lashley defending the prime belt against RAW Tag Team Champion Randy Orton. This falls in line with the earlier report from Wrestling Observer who already confirmed the Orton vs. Lashley lineup following the RKO by Orton on the champion, last week.
This week’s RAW opening segment saw Orton proposing a title shot for Lashley’s WWE Championship, and MVP suggested it for Extreme Rules 2021. The challenge was accepted while Lashley has also promised that he and MVP will capture the RAW Tag Team Titles so that he can become a double champion. This same demand was shown, last week, two.

The storyline progressed in a way that MVP and Lashley are trying to get put into the main event RAW Tag Team Turmoil match to become the new number-one contenders to Orton and Riddle. Eventually, they did end up winning that contest. That being said, Raw Tag Team Titles will be on the line where Team R-K-Bro will defend against Lashley and MVP on Raw, just two weeks before WWE Extreme Rules 2021.
Damien Priest to defend at Extreme Rules 2021
WWE United States Title match has also become official for the Extreme Rules 2021 event. In this match, the champion Damian Priest will defend his title against Sheamus, the former champion. Back at SummerSlam 2021, Priest defeated Sheamus in a singles contest via clean pinfall to win the mid-card title for the first time in his career.
Then Sheamus became the new number-one contender by defeating Drew McIntyre in a Number-one Contender’s match on this week’s RAW. Sheamus picked up the win with a handful of tights which the referee never spotted.
Extreme Rules 2021 will be Priest’s second title defense on TV since winning the strap from Sheamus at SummerSlam. On last week’s Raw, Priest retained over Sheamus and McIntyre in a Triple Threat where he pinned McIntyre for the title retention.
WWE Extreme Rules 2021 pay-per-view will take place on September 26 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. To date, three matches have officially been announced for the PPV event from Raw and SmackDown. Check out the card,
