The current WWE United States champion Finn Balor who is also a former WWE Universal Heavyweight champion and a former two times WWE Intercontinental Champion recently said that it hurt him when he got to know he is not going to feature on the card of WrestleMania 37 since he was on the NXT.
WWE WrestleMania debut of Finn Balor was WrestleMania 34 where he featured in a triple threat match which was scheduled for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in which Seth Rollins and the then champion The Miz was also involved. The match was ultimately won by Seth Rollins.
Finn Balor Was Hurt Not To Feature On WrestleMania 37
The very next WrestleMania was WrestleMania 35. This match was also for the WWE intercontinental championship and he challenged the then champion Bobby Lashley for the title. This time he won the match and won the WWE Intercontinental championship. It was really an amazing victory.
Later that year he returned to the NXT and he missed back to back two Wrestlemanias. During last year’s WrestleMania which was WrestleMania 37, he was in the NXT, so he missed the mentioned event as well. But we hope he’s going to feature on this year’s WrestleMania since he is currently holding the WWE United States championship and he is also involved in a feud with Damian Priest for the title.
Finn Balor who is also a former WWE Universal Heavyweight champion and a former two times WWE Intercontinental Champion recently spoke to After The Bell where he said that it hurt him when he got to know he is not going to feature on the card of WrestleMania 37 since he was on the NXT. He said;
“You can be jaded in any walk of you life, but when you’re a kid and you watch wrestling and love wrestling. The idea of being involved in WrestleMania is so far-fetched. Every time that WrestleMania comes around, you want to be involved.
“Even though I wasn’t involved last year, I watched, and I’ll be honest, it hurt. I just had a killer match with Karrion Kross in NXT and the next day I’m sitting at home on the couch watching WrestleMania.
“I wasn’t part of the brand, so I shouldn’t have been on the show, but the competitor in me or the person that wants to prove something, it did hurt not being involved. The second night, it did hurt not being involved.
“If there’s wrestling on and there are people at it and a ring is set up and everyone is watching on TV, I want to be on that show. It definitely hurt not being involved, even though I wasn’t at all available. I’m super excited and I want to be involved at WrestleMania, whether it’s first night, second night, Axxess, I don’t care. I want to be on there.”
