This year’s Summerslam match card looks pretty exciting with Finn Balor challenging Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship being one of the biggest attractions of the show. This long running rivalry is going on ever since Seth Rollins won the World Heavyweight Championship at the Night of Champions PLE.

Seth Rollins won the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Night of Champions after he defeated AJ Styles in the final of the tournament. Finn Balor turned out to be the first person who had a proper feud with the Visionary after his big victory. Damian Priest is also involved in this feud and is continuously teasing to cash in his Money in the Bank contract.

Finn Balor Would Challenge Seth Rollins At Summerslam

Rollins and Balor already had a championship match at Money in the Bank where Balor almost had Rollins beaten but involvement of Damian Priest created distraction for him and It helped Rollins to retain his Championship over Balor. Rollins also defended his title against several other big names, even in the NXT.

Balor had been extremely impressive since joining the Judgement Day faction last year. Winning the World Heavyweight Championship would be a great achievement to continue his recent success. Wrestling legend Dave Meltzer also believed that Balor should win the title at SummerSlam. Recently he spoke on “McGuire on Wrestling,” where he said;

“I just feel that the storyline, of number one, of having the three people with the belts and then one with the [Money in the Bank] briefcase, and then you have the idea of the guy with the briefcase to cash in and the other guys to champion on the same team. I like that storyline a lot.

“So I would have Balor win,” Meltzer said. “[WWE] may want to say, ‘We have to establish this title, we don’t want to take it from Seth so quick.’ That’s a prerogative. There’s no right or wrong. Their business is going to do great either way, but if it was me, I would go with Balor right now.”

During the introduction of the title, Triple H promise the entire world of professional wrestling that this Championship would be defended anywhere, everywhere. He also promised that this would be a title that fans would be proud of. The only way to make it worthy is to have it changing hands on a little frequent basis. Balor winning at SummerSlam would be an excellent choice.
