WWE Tag Team division is getting pumped up ever since Triple H got in charge of WWE. At WrestleMania 39, we got to see the continuation of arguably the best storyline ever in the Tag Team Championship history of WWE. Currently cabin Owens and Sami Zayn are holding the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship.
In spite of producing one of the best storylines in Tag Team division, WWE is struggling to produce better tag teams. The promotion unified their Tag Team titles last year after WrestleMania 38 and gave it all to the Bloodline. The Usos kept on carrying both Tag Team titles for nearly a year.
Former Champion Reveals If WWE Is Planning To Bring New Tag Team Titles To Reignite Tag Team Division
Finally, they dropped the titles at WrestleMania 39 to Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The fans were expecting that the Tag Team titles might finally get split. But no such thing happened, instead they are holding both the Tag Team championships just like the Usos. They are defending the titles pretty often but it does not look like they are going to drop any of the titles at this moment.
Former two times WWE Tag Team Champion Angelo Dawkins recently addressed the Tag Team division of WWE and explained the current scenario. Dawkins is a member of The Street Profits faction and his team did not get to hold Tag Team gold in quite a long time. Speaking with “The Masked Man Show,” he said on the possibility of a new Tag Team title;
“If They Decide To Change It, I’m All For It” Angelo Dawkins
“Your guess is as good as me. If there is, I hope. One can only hope. The titles that we have still look good, red and blue, we might merge them together. Make it purple. We’re going to introduce the purple gang. If they decide to change it, I’m all for it.”
After the introduction of the new Women’s championships, the fans are expecting to see a new pair of Tag Team title gold for Friday Night Smackdown. Both main rosters of WWE have fair shares of talented tag teams so both sides deserve fair and equal chances.
As of now there is only one pair of Tag Team gold in WWE, but we are expecting to see a new pair of Tag Team titles for the blue brand of WWE since both brands of the promotion got talented tag teams and we are pretty sure that WWE would try to elevate their Tag Team division and that would not be possible for only one pair of Tag Team titles.
