Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco who won many professional wrestling championships during his career recently talked about the return of Cody Rhodes to WWE and expressed his happiness about it. He said that he returned to very belonged.
Cody Rhodes had a decade long career in WWE before leaving the promotion in 2016. He won a lot of Championship in the WWE during his time. He was one of the founding members of the AEW and he was in the promotion of from the very beginning of it. Before forming AEW, he worked in the independent promotion for two years.
Gerald Brisco Is Happy With The WWE Return Of Cody Rhodes
Soon he became one of the key members of the AEW roster. He even won the AEW TNT Championship one time. Nobody ever expected him to depart from the promotion ever again. But this is how professional wrestling is and there is nothing wrong in it. After over 3 years of service, he decided to take part with AEW and return to the biggest rival of the promotion, WWE.
This was really shocking that one of the key founding members of AEW decided to join WWE after all the revolutionary things went on in the AEW. A lot of ex WWE stars decided to join WWE. But he turned out to be the first ex WWE star to join AEW. The message is quite clear, the war is on.
The return of Cody was really special. Seth Rollins was desperate for a match at WrestleMania 38. He was given a mystery opponent by Vince McMahon which was scheduled to be revealed at the event.
And the mystery opponent was none other than Cody Rhodes. Cody even used his American Nightmare theme. They delivered an amazing match which was ultimately won by Cody. He is now a regular roster member of WWE.
Gerald Brisco who won many professional wrestling championships during his career recently spoke during his AdFreeShows.com Exclusive Monday Mailbag where he talked about the return of Cody Rhodes to WWE and expressed his happiness about it. He said that he returned to very belonged. He said;
“Damn right I do. Wouldn’t that be great? That’s great, I like that. Why not Cody? Go for it, if you got them, go for it. Polka dots? Wear them. I think it’s fantastic [that he’s coming back], I think that’s probably where he belongs and I think that’s where he feels he belongs.
“The other organization is a great organization, I think Tony [Khan] has done one heck of a job so far. I don’t agree with a lot of the stuff but I don’t agree with a lot of the stuff that is going on on the other side either. But yeah, I’m happy for Cody, that’s where he wants to be, that’s home and everybody wants to go home. So congratulations.”
