Goldberg Talks On His Recent Losses

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg who is also a former WCW world heavyweight champion recently talked about his recent losses in WWE. Goldberg who recently challenged WWE champion Bobby Lashley for the Championship at SummerSlam did not appear in WWE for months.

One of his last appearance was at WrestleMania 36 where he defended his WWE Universal Championship against the The Monster among Men Braun Strowman. It was of course a losing effort.

Goldberg Talks On His Recent Losses

Before that, Goldberg defeated Bray Wyatt for the WWE Universal Championship at WWE Super Showdown pay per view event. He got massive criticism for killing the momentum of Bray Wyatt. It was definitely a questionable decision made by WWE. But as he dropped the title to Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 36 the criticism got little thinner.

His last appearance was at the Royal Rumble where he faced Drew McIntyre for the WWE championship which was also a losing effort. He was not booked at WrestleMania 37 either. This is his first booking since Royal Rumble.

Goldberg who is also a former WCW world heavyweight champion recently spoke to WWE India where he talked about his recent losses in WWE. Goldberg lost in his last two matches and both of them were for the World Championships. He said;

“My last outings have fallen short of a number of reasons. I plan to change the outcome of this one and have it not be a resurgence of me coming back for one night, doing my thing, and walking off into the sunset, riding off into the sunset.

“I put a lot of time and effort into the preparation they gave me, about double the time they usually do to prepare for a match. I’m excited. Bobby Lashley poses a very big threat. There are few people who can match up to him physically and mentally.

“I still think I’m one of them. At 53 years old, as I told him, it doesn’t matter if I’m 25, 35, 55, or 105, I’m bringing some pain with me. The people he’s run over in the past are nothing like me. I’m gonna bring something to the fight that I don’t think he’s ever seen.”
