The latest premium live event of WWE is Hell in a Cell 2022 which is set to go down this Sunday night in the rowdy city of Chicago. Unlike their earlier PPV outings, this coming vent is being set up as a low-key event by all means. The event is based on a gimmick and there’s been only one match that’s been officially added under the same stipulation. Only the main event of the night, Seth Rollins vs. Cody Rhodes will take place inside the HIAC structure.
The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is absent from Hell in a Cell 2022 match card and fans are questioning how strongly the card can be presented, further. The currently announced card is a bit sparse and we can’t say that it’s stacked by any means. More interestingly, all of the matches announced are from the Raw brand which is a bit weird.

That being said, there are likely to be more announcements regarding Hell in a Cell 2022 and a reliable source can confirm the same. Ringside News asked around about the current situation and they were told that the card “is decided, but can always change.” As of this writing, the WWE Officials have an official internal lineup set for the PPV but they didn’t announce the same in public.
WWE Smackdown HIAC 2022 Go-Home Episode To Feature Multiple Raw Superstars?
WWE had to change up things around Hell in a Cell 2022, mainly because Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out on the May 9 episode of Raw and left them without challengers for the two women’s title matches. Both these two superstars were reportedly set to challenge for the Smackdown and Raw Women’s Champions, respectively. In their absence, the women’s tag team titles are also vacant, at this moment.
We will have to see how WWE continues the build toward Hell in a Cell 2022 but they don’t have much time left to do so. In fact, they only have one more taped episode left before the event in the form of this week’s WWE SmackDown. Hence, it’s likely that at least a few matches will be added to the card since the blue brand’s representation is required in it.
