The first and the only official match from the Smackdown side has been announced for Hell in a Cell 2022 premium live event. In a battle between friend-turned-foes, Madcap Moss will battle Happy Corbin, this Sunday night in a No Holds Barred Match.
Madcap Moss returned with brand new theme music and gimmick on last night’s SmackDown go-home episode for Hell in a Cell 2022 that took place at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was also dressed up in a new way leaving his usual suspenders for black tights.
In a furious promo, Moss mentioned that he had “buried” his old self, making it clear that he’s no more be playing the role of comedian, anymore. With Happy Corbin already present inside the ring, Moss proceeded to challenge him to a fight that was denied. But then WWE Officials Adam Pearce came out and made the match, official, right there.
Spoiler On Judgment Day’s Fourth Member And It’s Revelation In WWE
Happy Corbin defeated Madcap Moss in that impromptu match on the final show before Hell in a Cell 2022 via DQ as Moss used a Steel Chair against him. WWE Officials ran down and prevented Moss from doing further damage to Corbin with that chair.
After what transpired between the two, Adam Pearce announced in a backstage segment that a singles match between Corbin and Moss will take place at Hell in a Cell 2022.
After missing two episodes of SmackDown due to a kayfabe injury via Corbin’s attack on the May 13 episode, Moss announced on social media that fans will see a “brand new side” of him this week. This switch-up to the Moss character may come as a help to build him up as a top babyface.
