Riddle and Shinsuke Nakamura are expected to receive an Undisputed Tag Team Championship match in Hell In A Cell 2022. The duo is currently involved in a feud against the champions, The Usos that will continue through this week’s Smackdown. But the title match is expected to get pushed back, according to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio.

The team of Riddle and Nakamura defeated The Usos on WWE Raw this week via disqualification after Jimmy Uso hit Riddle with his scooter. The outcome of the bygone match should officially make Riddle and Nakamura the number-one contenders. But, as of now, WWE is yet to confirm the title match for this Sunday. Now, it seems that the plans for that title match to happen at Hell in a Cell 2022 have been scrapped, altogether.

Instead of Hell in a Cell 2022, the match is expected to be taking place at WWE Money In The Bank 2022 in Las Vegas on July 2. The upcoming premium live event has recently been shifted to a smaller venue after WWE confirmed that it would no longer be taking place at the originally announced venue, Allegiant Stadium, but instead, it will be happening at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in the same city.

Postponing the Undisputed Tag Team Championship match from Hell in a Cell 2022 could also be a sign that Roman Reigns is no longer expected to be appearing at WWE Money In The Bank, as he will be working on a lighter schedule, moving forward.

The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion was taken off the updated advertisement when WWE announced the venue change. If his absence appears to be true then the earlier speculated match against Riddle would also be canceled. For the time being, The Tribal Chief is already absent from Smackdown taping for a couple of weeks.

That obviously leaves the door open for Riddle and Nakamura to continue the ongoing feud with The Usos following Hell in a Cell 2022 and set up the Unified Tag Team Championship match at Money In The Bank, instead. Both men are fighting on behalf of their individual tag team partners, Rick Boogs and Randy Orton who were injured in their matches against The Usos.
