WWE NXT is a brainchild of Triple H who is the show-runner in this territory. Despite being the EVP of Talent Relations in the WWE, The Game takes care of this brand up-close and personal. Due to his recent surgical procedure, he’s currently away from the scene and there’s been a major void in his absence.
Former WWE NXT Women’s Champion, Raquel Gonzalez recently spoke with The Wrestling Inc. Daily and spoke about the influence of Triple H on Tuesday nights. During the conversation, she also reflects on how it’s like to perform on the brand without the innovator being around.

“He is the most amazing influence and person to have here,” Raquel said. “Especially on Tuesdays and especially at PPVs like WarGames. We do miss him a lot but we hope that he’s getting well and everything’s going good with his recovery, and it’s a full recovery.”
Wrestling Inc editor Nick Hausman asked the former WWE NXT Women’s Champion how WWE’s third brand is doing with Triple H currently not working due to his recent health issue. Raquel noted that while Hunter is someone who is absolutely synonymous with this brand but then there’re some more names who are capable of taking care of things.

Things aren’t the same on WWE NXT in HHH’s absence
“It is pretty weird. But I will say the team that we have, has always been a part of Triple H’s as well,” she said. “So Triple H being the peanut butter (to NXT’s jelly), he’s never only been the one person of peanut butter. We have Shawn Michaels, Matt Bloom, Road Dogg, Scotty Armstrong, Terry Taylor, Norman, Scotty 2 Hotty, all these coaches, Sara Armato.
“Now having Storm and Corino here as well, it’s been a blessing having an amazing team who are positive. Who kind of stepped in when Triple H had to step away for a little bit and have taken that role and been there, not only for the new talent but as well for the talent that has been here for a while and are trying to adjust to the changes as well.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)
It’s previously been noted that the WWE NXT 2.0 revamp was influenced by Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard in the absence of Triple H. However, it’s not much known that how much creative inputs these two are coming up with, in the absence of the original creative head.
Raquel Gonzalez also mentioned how Shawn Michaels has taken more responsibilities in his best friend’s absence. HBK has also complimented Raquel for her tag team work with Dakota Kai. Recently Team Raquel picked up a win over Team Dakota at WarGames to keep her winning streak intact inside this ominous steel structure.
