WrestleMania 38 is knocking on the door with some of the revolutionary matches are rumoured for the event already. There are rumours of potential unification matches among the two World Championships and the two Women’s championships, something that fans never saw in Wrestlemania before. This year’s WrestleMania can be an epic event.
If the rumours are true, there will be no more brand split after Wrestlemania. It may sound disappointing to a lot of fans but there is no other option left. WWE currently has no other option but to merge the brands. After all the releases they went through, and the thin rosters they have left, ending the brand split seems the only option left.
How WWE Should Book The Mid Card Championships At WrestleMania 38
If the brands get merged once again in WWE, the effect will take place on the Intercontinental championship and the United States Championship as well, better say, on the current state of the mid card division, which will not be the same anymore.
It can definitely improve by a big margin since there will be only one mid card division in WWE. Currently there is two mid card divisions, one for SmackDown and the other one is for RAW. After the brand split is over, there will only be one mid card division left in WWE.
The intercontinental championship will be treated as the sole mid card Championship and the United States Championship will be the lower mid card Championship, just like the European Championship was over two decades ago. The scenario will be pretty same as the Attitude Era.
We believe Shinsuke Nakamura should drop the intercontinental championship to Sami Zayn before WrestleMania 38 and Zayn should walk in as the champion at the grandest stage of them all. It does not matter who ever the champion is, he should retain the title.
And about the WWE United States Championship, Damian Priest had been a great champion so far. He had been pretty dominant as a champion so he should walk in as the champion at Wrestlemania. And it should be the time we should drop the Championship.
If the brand split is over after WrestleMania 38, the United States Championship will the lower mid card Championship, hopefully. We seriously hope they do not merge the Intercontinental championship and the United States Championship because that would be awful. There should be a lower mid card title if there is only one brand.
