The biggest annual pay-per-view event of Impact Wrestling promotion will be presented next month in the form of Slammiversary 2022 edition. The main event of the night has been announced during last night’s TV taping where Impact World Champion Josh Alexander will put his title on the line.

During this week’s episode of Impact on AXS TV, Eric Young won the Gauntlet For The Gold match. Thus, he is now confirmed to face Alexander at Slammiversary 2022 for the Impact World Title. Young had pinned Chris Sabin to earn the title match.

The other participants of the Gauntlet For The Gold match included PCO, Moose, Rich Swann, W. Morrissey, Bhupinder Gujjar, Mahabali Shera, Trey Miguel, Alex Shelley, Sharkboy, Eddie Edwards, Vincent, and Steve Maclin.

Last Saturday at Under Siege PPV event, Alexander retained the Impact World Title against NJPW star Tomohiro Ishii. Alexander has been the champion since defeating Moose at Rebellion event.

As announced earlier, Ultimate X at Slammiversary 2022 will see Ace Austin defending his title against five different challengers. The first qualifying match was held on last night’s Impact with Chris Bey vs. Kenny King where the latter name won to confirm his spit at the upcoming event.

The first-ever Queen of the Mountain match has been announced for Impact Wrestling Slammiversary 2022 pay-per-view. As seen on the latest installment of IMPACT on AXS TV, Gail Kim announced that Tasha Steelz will be defending the Knockouts Championship against Mia Yim, Chelsea Green, Jordynne Grace, and Deonna Purrazzo in a Queen of the Mountain match.

Slammiversary 2022 will take place on June 19, celebrating the promotion’s 20th anniversary as the first joint venture of NWA-TNA pay-per-view took place on June 19, 2002.
