As reported earlier, WWE has already scheduled NXT In Your House in their internal calendar to be a special event under their third brand. This year’s version should look much different than the 2021 version as a massive talent turnover has been noticed in WWE’s developmental brand. Plus, the brand itself got renovated under the 2.0 shtick with Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard overlooking things.
The first match for WWE NXT In Your House was announced, this week. We now know the date for the event after Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that it will take place on Saturday, June 4th. There has not been a location announced for the show but it should be hosted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida given that it won’t be a WWE Network Specials.

For years, WWE has used this theme for pay-per-view or WWE Network events but this year will mark the first time that WWE will use the NXT In Your House theme as a television special for a regular episode. That being said, Stand and Deliver during WrestleMania 38 weekend in Dallas remains the only special event for the NXT 2.0 brand to be hosted outside the familiar zone of PC.
2022 WWE NXT In Your House would be a regular TV episode
It was noted by the source that there has been no final decision on if the 2022 NXT In Your House event will be held outside of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. But the weekend is finalized and the event would go down the day before the WWE Hell In a Cell Premium Live Event near Chicago, Illinois.
During this week’s NXT 2.0 episode, NXT North American Champion Cameron Grimes mentioned how he will be defending against Carmelo Hayes at an upcoming NXT In Your House event. Grimes did not make the match, official but he did promise to give Solo Sikoa a title shot later on. Next week, Grimes and Sikoa will team up against Hayes and his buddy Trick Williams in a non-title tag team match to continue the ongoing storyline.
Last year’s NXT In Your House was headlined by Karrion Kross defending the NXT Championship against Pete Dunne, Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, and Kyle O’Reilly in a Fatal-5-Way. Every single competitor apart from Dunne has not only moved on from NXT but also from the WWE, itself.
