The Nigerian giant Omos made his return to WWE during the Battle Royal at SummerSlam where he was presented as a surprise entrant. He was presented as the strongest athlete in this match who eliminated five wrestlers all alone. Multiple superstars had to team up to eliminate him from this match.

Before his big SummerSlam appearance, Omos aka Tolulop Omogbehin’s final appearance took place at WrestleMania 39 where he squared off with the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar in a losing effort. He dominated most part of the match but at the end, he was beaten by Brock Lesnar.

Inside Omos’ Mind: Unpacking His Justifications for Rejecting a Babyface Transformation

He remained out of action for four long months but he finally made his return at SummerSlam. There were rumours that he might become a member of the newly resurrected faction The Hurt Business. Bobby Lashley did start a new faction with The Street Profits last Friday on SmackDown, but is it the resurrection of the Hurt Business?

Since Omos did not appear on RAW last Monday following his return on SummerSlam, we can expect him to appear on SmackDown, and he might even become a member of the new faction. The Nigerian Giant recently revealed why he did not want to work as a babyface. Speaking with Blake Murphy of Sportsnet, he explained;

Omos Made His Return At Summerslam Last Saturday

“From a psychology standpoint, it can be very challenging for someone who’s seven-foot-three, muscles, and huge and intimidating, to get sympathy,” Omos said. “Heels don’t inspire people, only babyfaces do. And for me, that’s going to be the challenge: How can this big, giant person inspire people? Because there’s no relatability to someone who’s seven-foot-three … the moment where you see me with somebody smaller than me, the brain says, ‘I want the little guy to kick the big guy’s ass.’”

“This is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life. This is fun,” he said. “To wake up every day, go to work, play a character on TV that either people love or hate, people are so invested in the character you present on TV. What we do, it’s so amazing, man. And to know that some kid out there watching the show, they’re going to grow up watching me on TV. I could have never pictured this life.”

It is believed that WWE has big plans for Omos. But ever since he joined the promotion, he has had all the big matches he had so far. He lost to Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman, and at WrestleMania 39 he lost to Brock Lesnar too. But his strong build never ended. So we can expect him to become a top star in the near future.
