Seth Rollins started a feud with Cody Rhodes last year at WrestleMania 38 and the duo had a series of three matches in total. Rollins was struggling to get a booking for WrestleMania 38 and he was desperate for it. Ultimately he was promised by Vince McMahon that he would have a big booking at WrestleMania 38 and he would be given a surprise opponent at the event.
That surprise opponent turned out to be Cody Rhodes. The duo had an excellent match at WrestleMania 38 and they also had two more matches in the following months. Their match at Hell in a Cell turned out to be the match of the year of WWE for 2022. The rivalry was quite excellent and it was pretty well received.

The feud could not be continued further as Cody pick up a major injury just before Hell in a Cell and its headlight him from action for eight long months. It is reported many times that in spite of having an on screen feud, the duo had an excellent relationship between each other. Recently he spoke to the SI Media Podcast where he explained his Complex relationship with the American Nightmare. Here is what he had to say;
On his relationship with Rhodes: “Our relationship is very complex. I think that’s the best way to put it. I think there’s a mutual respect there. Obviously, I think when you have two guys at our caliber, there’s respect, but there’s also a level of competition. There’s a healthy jealousy in some capacity on both sides.

“He has mentioned recently that we both [are] vying constantly to be the top guy on the top show Monday Night Raw, and that’s the truth. And so, there’s respect. Friendship, I don’t know that I would go that far, but yeah, it’s very complex situation between the two of us, that’s for sure.” the current World Heavyweight Champion.
On Rhodes’ accomplishments: “What Cody’s been able to do, kind of coming out of his father’s shadow, which is a very difficult thing to do, and making his own path. And the way he’s done it [is] by being here in WWE, leaving, starting a rival promotion, coming back, and really defying expectations to get to the top of the card and stay at the top of the card. You can’t say anything bad about Cody’s work ethic.”
Seth Rollins is currently holding the World Heavyweight Championship whereas Cody Rhodes is involved in a mega feud with the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar. Fans are waiting to see Rollins and Rhodes restart their feud and this time for the World Heavyweight Championship. This would definitely be an amazing feud to witness.
