Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch had a rough main event segment on SmackDown during the championship belt exchange. As things have been pushed too far, the two had a backstage confrontation and this was obviously not a pretty sight. Things did not get physical between the two, but they did get involved in a heated argument.
Things became even tense followed by a request for Charlotte Flair to leave the building before the dark match featuring Becky Lynch would have been over to avoid any kind of further confrontation. Reports claimed that the twelve-time Women’s Champion didn’t leave the building at her will and hence she didn’t meet The Boss Vince McMahon, too.

It’s not clear whether this incident was the reason behind her fiancée Andrade tweeting out “FU… WWE” but speculation about Charlotte Flair possibly leaving WWE for AEW has since begun. Andrade had an amazing match against Pac on AEW Rampage and since after leaving WWE, he’s having an amazing time with the promotion to enjoy her career.
Charlotte Flair will stay with WWE for many years
According to PW Insider, Charlotte Flair has “years” left in her current WWE deal. Being one of the most original Superstars of the WWE, her status isn’t likely changing following the unprecedented incident. So if some fans believe this situation could be the reason behind her release from the WWE, that’s not the case.
“As for those who asked whether Flair was using this as a way to get out of her WWE deal and go to AEW, that’s likely not the outcome here. We are told Flair has years left on her current deal. It’s not likely WWE is going to let anyone walk out to head to TNT if they deem them an important asset.”
Charlotte Flair already registered a trademark under the name of “Ashley Flair” alongside Andrade which was registered back in 2019. But she’s likely to use that anytime, soon as WWE still has her under a contract for a long time. WWE’s will to push Flair to the moon won’t end anytime soon despite the fact that she has digested tons of heat after the title exchange segment. It’ll be interesting to see whether this affects her ongoing title reign.
