WWE went through two roster extensions in the history of the business. The last time was in 2002 which ended in 2013 after WWE champion Randy Orton defeated World Heavyweight Champion John Cena and unified the two championships.

In 2016 WWE once again and came back with the idea of brand split and it is still going on for nearly six years. When the it started WWE seemed more adamant to keep the wrestlers of the two brands from each other. Slowly it became weaker and weaker. And now it looks like it is coming to an end.

But why suddenly WWE made such a decision? Even though it is all a theory but it is definitely possible. The reason might be the back to back failure of TV rating and viewership. WWE creative team is not being able to manage two different shows from quite a long time.

Beside the covid-19 pandemic has been a terrible curse for WWE. Since then WWE is not being able to manage anything. This is might be the biggest reason behind the decision of cancelling the brand extension. This might be a terrible news for most of the fans. But we guess there is no other option left either.
