There was a shocking report hitting the world of professional wrestling just a month ago that WWE might be planning to stop the brand extension. And this was the reason behind the teasing of title vs title between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38.

There was even rumors of a potential title vs title match between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch where the winner would unify the titles. The match was rumored for Wrestlemania. But after the recent bookings, it looks like this match is not happening, even though there is a chance of the other one.

Is WWE Still Planning To Stop The Brand Split?

Later a new report arrived which suggested WWE is not planning to stop the brand split. It will definitely continue even after WrestleMania and there is no potential plan of stopping it in the near future. WWE will keep treating SmackDown and RAW as two different brands.

However there are still possibilities of a potential stop to the split of brands. Change is inevitable in WWE, they keep on changing their plans very often. It is reported that Riddle was originally scheduled to win this year’s Royal Rumble, later the plans were changed and Brock Lesnar had been crowned the new champion.

There are still no confirmation on if WWE has any plan to end the brand extension. Currently there is a huge possibility of ending it. Let us discuss about the potential theories that could lead to the end of the brand split.

First of all, let us talk about the World championship picture. Even the Brock Lesnar dropped the WWE championship to Bobby Lashley at Royal Rumble, he has been added to the Elimination Chamber match at the Elimination Chamber pay per view event which has been scheduled for the WWE championship.

This week on Monday Night RAW he already made it clear that he would challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Heavyweight Title but as the WWE champion at WrestleMania 38. If this happens, then the titles will definitely get unified, and an unification means there will be no more brand extension.

About the Women’s title picture, Ronda Rousey has not made her mind yet whom she would challenge at WrestleMania 38. There is a chance that she wins a title before the event, and walks into Mania as a champion and challenges the other champion in a title vs title match. If these two titles get unified, it will definitely lead to an end to the brand split.
