Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer JBL aka John Bradshaw Layfield who is a former WWE World Champion recently talked about the current WWE United States champion Damian Priest and praised him. He said that he would love to have him in his Cabinet Stable.
Damian Priest is currently one of the biggest prospects of WWE who is having a tremendous run in the main roster since last year. He made his main roster debut to the Royal Rumble match last year where he was pretty impressive. The very next episode on Monday Night RAW he made his permanent main roster debut and kept on impressing the fans and the critics.
JBL Praises Damian Priest, Says He Would Have Loved To Have Him In His Cabinet Stable
At first he mostly concentrated on the non title feuds. He went on to challenge The Miz and John Morrison at WrestleMania 37 along with Bad Bunny in a tag team match. In this match he was pretty impressive as well. After WrestleMania he continued his feud with The Miz for a number of months.
After dealing with the Miz, he went on to challenge Sheamus for the WWE United States Championship. At the SummerSlam pay per view event he defeated the Celtic Warrior to win his first major WWE title that is the United States Championship. Since then he remained undefeated for a very long time.
But his undefeated streak was finally broken in January when he faced the former WWE Universal Heavyweight champion Kevin Owens. It was not a clean win for Owens, but a defeat is a defeat anyway. He also lost to AJ Styles just a number of weeks after. But he got his revenge back on Styles just the next week as he defeated him clean to retain his title.
It seems like Priest has a great future in WWE. Time may come when the WWE decides to push him as a main event star. Currently he is doing quite well as the United States champion and he is one of the most entertaining part of Monday Night RAW right now.

“Damian Priest, not that he needs the rub. He’s not, he’s a star. But that guy is a rockstar, man. You know, he just has a presence about him and you can’t replicate that. You know, some guys have that, some guys don’t.
“I was at a deal here in DC recently and Mike Singletary walked in and as soon as did, you know, he’s an older guy now. He’s not very big. Everybody knew a star had walked into the room. Some guys just have that. The Rock has that, Cena has that. I think Damian Priest has that.”
