Former WWE star and a former three times WWE Intercontinental Champion John Morrison who is also a former fixed and WWE World Champion recently shared massive praise for the current MLW roster and said that he was a big fan of it.
The former ECW World Champion had a lot of success all around the world and he was one of the biggest names created by WWE. He did not become famous in WWE only but elsewhere as well. In a short Impact Wrestling career, he won the Impact World Heavyweight Championship one time. He won a ton of championships in WWE as well. But once again during the latest run of his WWE career, the promotion failed to utilise him and at the end he was playing a role of a jobber.
John Morrison Praises The Current MLW Roster
He was having some bookings after he was paired with his kayfabe and real life friend The Miz. The duo received some consistent bookings since pairing up and Morrison had an important role to play as well when Miz won the WWE Championship earlier this year.
But Miz betrayed Morrison during an episode of Monday Night RAW and fans expected to see a good storyline. But Miz felt participating in Dancing with the Stars would be more important than telling this story so he left and WWE had no idea what to do with Morrison. Ultimately he was released after playing a number of jobbing roles.
WWE did not even bother to tell the next part of the story between The Miz and Morrison. And this was not the first time WWE did not conclude a story. The same thing happened before the release of Aleister Black as well. His return was promoted via promo packages.
When he finally returned, he attacked Big E. And the very next week he was released. WWE did not even bother to tell the reason behind this attack. There were other instances throughout this year as well. It all seemed so clueless.
John Morrison who is also a former fixed and WWE World Champion recently spoke to The Kliq podcast where he shared massive praise for the current MLW roster and said that he was a big fan of it. He said;
“Billie Starkz is fantastic. Lio Rush, I feel like he’s so talented. he’s had opportunities to shine, and people have seen him do his thing, but the platform of MLW, I think, is going to present him a chance to evolve into the next evolution and a step greater than anything he’s done before. Harry Smith, too, is another example of a guy that — actually, just yesterday, I watched Harry Smith in a catch wrestling tournament tap out like three guys.
“Harry is scary, and he’s just like a wall of muscle. He’s a huge, scary man that I feel is fascinating to watch. His knowledge of catch wrestling, submissions, and jujitsu, combined with suplexes and professional wrestling, is this crazy combination of skills that I’ve never seen anywhere else.
“Add to that Enzo, Microman, and there’s a lot of people that I think are going to really take advantage of this platform and the creative opportunities it presents to become something greater. Every time an individual does that, it elevates the organization. I’m just rattling off names. I have so much faith in the roster.”
