ToggleKarrion Kross is a former two times WWE next champion who is currently active in Friday Night Smackdown. He was released from WWE last year during the Covid 19 pandemic outbreak but Triple H brought him back last year after he became the Head of Creative of WWE. He was brought back along with Scarlett.
When he was brought back to WWE last year, it was pretty much certain that WWE had big plans for the former two times WWE NXT champion. But slowly he totally lost his push and right now he could only find himself in the lower mid cards. He does not even get regular booking which is pretty unfortunate.

Karrion Kross Acknowledges AJ Styles’ Contributions to the Wrestling World
Upon his return, he got a mega feud with Drew McIntyre who is the former two times WWE World champion. His latest feud was also against a former two times WWE World champion and that was AJ Styles. To be honest the feud had a lot of potential, but unfortunately it turned out to be a complete mess at the end.
Kross of course lost the feud at the end and there last match took place last Friday at SmackDown where Styles pinned Kross in less than 2 minutes time. They might have work as rivals on screen, but Kross had massive respect for styles outside of kayfabe. Speaking on Konnan’s Keepin It 100 podcast he shared his love and respect for Styles;

AJ Styles Defeated Karrion Kross Last Friday At Smackdown
“He’s amazing to work with. Yeah, he’s the best. The thing that stands out to me with him — and I agree with everything that you just said (about Styles being a top 10 wrestler in history) — was he has a ring IQ of like nobody that I’ve probably ever met. I’ve met people with super high ring IQs. For anyone who’s not in the loop of what I mean by that is just like how you would structure a match for the time and place for people involved.
“The way he sees wrestling is like he was ahead of his time in my opinion when he was coming up in TNA and I still think in a lot of aspects, he’s still ahead of his time even present day. I think there’s things that he’s doing, there’s nuances in things he’s doing that people aren’t even picking up that people will study in probably a decade from now going, he was the only one doing that and I won’t say what it is but if you know, you know when you watch his work…”

It certainly does not look like that Kross has a great future lying ahead of himself in WWE but as long as Triple H is incharge of the creative department of WWE, we can definitely expect some changes in his status in the future. Kross is it talented individual and we expect him to get a big main event push in the upcoming days.
