Current WWE SmackDown star Karrion Kross who is a former two times WWE NXT champion recently talked about his current character in WWE and how he sees it. He also remembered working as an extra in 2015.
Karrion Kross was a big name during his time in the NXT. He has been a two times NXT champion and he defeated some of the biggest names of the NXT including the likes of Finn Balor and Keith Lee. After spending a couple of years on the NXT which was the development territory of WWE, finally made his main roster debut last year.
Karrion Kross Reveals How He Sees His Character Himself
Everybody was expecting a huge push for the former two times NXT champion as he had an excellent career in the NXT. It is believed that he was given a little longer time period in the NXT he could have been a bigger star in the main roster.
Kross made his main roster debut on Monday night RAW against the former three times WWE World Championship Jeff Hardy. His valet Scarlet was left behind after his main roster debut. During that time, Jeff was mostly working as a jobber and he was lifting younger stars. But surprisingly, Jeff defeated Kross in Kross’ debut match. It made things pretty clear. Vince McMahon had no big plans for Kross on the main roster.
After a number of weeks, Kross became a victim of the releasing spree of WWE as the promotion released a lot of talents to adjust their budget during the covid 19 pandemic. Kross was one of the unfortunate ones. But recently, after Triple H became the Head of Creative of WWE, he brought back Kross to WWE once again.
He is currently working on Friday Night Smackdown and he is doing pretty good. However, from his recent bookings, it is not looking like WWE is viewing him as a potential main eventer anymore. We hope things improve for him ion the near future.
Karrion Kross who is a former two times WWE NXT champion recently spoke to Muscle & Fitness where he talked about his current character in WWE and how he sees it. He also remembered working as an extra in 2015. He said;
“At the time, I was contacted to do background type work (as an extra) for WWE. I was just backstage and I remember Fit Finlay, and William Regal came up to me, and they said, ‘Hey, we’re familiar with your work, and we have a very simple spot tonight.’ I said absolutely. When you get a chance to be on Monday Night Raw for anything, especially when you are not [signed] with the company, you jump at those opportunities.”
“I like to think of Karrion Kross, not actually as a human being. I like to think of him as a very dark energy in the room. “Like, when you walk into a place that you know you shouldn’t be, late at night, like a haunted house or something. You know you shouldn’t be there, but you feel like you should stay because you are about to see something that you are not going to be able to see anywhere else! He is the dark energy in the room, manifesting as a person.”
