Keith Lee Discusses His Confidence In His Physical Abilities
Keith Lee was not treated anything differently. He came to WWE team 2018 after having an excellent time in the Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Evolve and some other professional wrestling promotions. He had been quite impressive in his 13 year professional wrestling career before WWE.
In 2018 he came to WWE for the first time in his career. As mentioned above he has been portrayed as a big deal from the very first day of joining WWE. After spending two dominant years in WWE NXT.
He won the WWE NXT championship and the WWE NXT North American Championship. He carried both titles at the same time. On the same year he came to the main roster of WWE. Even though his first main roster appearance was during the Royal Rumble match of 2020 where he was eliminated by Brock Lesnar.

WWE was determined to push him on the main roster but injuries have always been a huge issue for him. Even during his NXT days, he faced injuries, he is facing bad injuries till date. After that he was repackaged and has been given in new name, Bearcat Lee.
It looked like WWE was going to push him in his new avatar. But that did not happen, in fact, he was released from WWE on the very next week and it was quite shocking. Recently, he made his AEW debut and we hope he has a great future in the new promotion.
Keith Lee who is also a former WWE NXT North American Champion recently spoke to the Grapsody podcast where he explained how he was really confident about his own physical abilities and it was never difficult for him to get right back into shape. He said;

“Now outside of that, I’ve never been out for more than maybe two or three months, I suppose. I’ve never been truly injured. I’m very fortunate in that. A lot of times, and I don’t know why this is, but in terms of needing a ring to get myself ready has never been a thing for me. Movement in the ring is not something that is difficult for me. For what you see in the ring, particularly today, is a fraction of what I’m capable of. I like it that way ‘cause I am always a guarantee regardless of what happens.
“Here’s a great example. The time Dijak monkey flipped me in one of our first matches in NXT—even before then, we can take this back to the independents—a match I had with Raymond Rowe. People would know him as Erik today. Guy tried to monkey flip me and I flipped to my feet. I had never trained to do that. I never worked on doing that. I just said, ‘I’m going to do this,’ and then I did it.
“The first time I ever dove out of the ring, I’ve never trained to dive out of a ring. I’ve never worked on diving out of a ring. I’ve never worked on moonsaults. If I choose to do a thing, I just go do it. That is not normal. I will tell you that right away. People hurt themselves trying to do these things on the regular. So in terms of what and physics itself I am, and I have learned this. I didn’t understand years ago, but I am an anomaly. I’m not the best person to ask, ‘What do I do to learn about this?’ ‘Cause I don’t know. I just go do it.
