Kevin Owens and WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns had an amazing rivalry recently. Two of their recent PPV matches for the Universal Championship were simply phenomenal.

Their first PPV match took place at WWE Tables Ladders and Chairs and it was a TLC match. The next match took place at Royal Rumble and it was booked as a Last Man Standing match. Kevin Owens lost on both occasions but both matches were simply amazing by their own standards.

Kevin Owens Coming Back Into The Universal Title Picture?

A lot of fans and critics thought Kevin Owens deserved to continue this field for a while longer. But it had to stop because of WrestleMania was edging near and Roman Reigns had a different feud to attend at WrestleMania.

Kevin Owens had strong bookings Since losing his opportunity for the WWE Universal Championship to Roman Reigns and with all the bookings he is receiving it seems like WWE planning to give them another chance to capture the Universal Championship.

On the latest episode of Talking Smack, Owens addressed the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns by saying not to forget him. He said;

“When I was the Universal Champion the first time, I did not enjoy it at all,” Owens admitted. “I was obsessed with being the best possible champion that I could be…I didn’t enjoy any of it.

“But this is where I’ve changed. When I become the Universal Champion again, I’m gonna love every second of it. Just know this: If Roman Reigns doesn’t lose the title to Cesaro. And if he doesn’t lose to someone else before I get to him, again, I’m going to take the title. Don’t forget about me. Don’t make the mistake to think that I’m gone because I am not going anywhere.”

We believe Roman Reigns should drop the Universal Title to Owens at least once. Owens seriously needs a world title run right now. A lot of fans are already seeing him as a potential replacement of Stone Cold Steve Austin.

And to be honest Owens is the only bada** heel in WWE right now who can fit into the boots left by Austin. There is no other babyface in WWE right now who can match the level of work rate of Owens. And his face gimmick was pretty famous back the Ring of Honor when he went by the name of Kevin Steen. When WWE has brought back the same gimmick, why not building him as the top babyface of the company?
