Former WWE Universal Heavyweight champion Kevin Owens who is also a former three times WWE United States champion recently talked about his chemistry with the former four times WWE World Champion Seth Rollins. He also talked about the recent angle with the Kingslayer.
Both Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens joined WWE RAW from Friday Night Smackdown during the draft lottery. Since coming to the Monday night show of WWE, Owens is been treated as a main event star.
WWE RAW – Kevin Owens Comments On His Chemistry With Seth Rollins
He became the number one contender for the WWE championship he will also face Big E for the Championship at the Day 1 pay per view event in a fatal 4 way match. Owens is definitely a huge name who was being misused during his SmackDown run.
Finally he is receiving better opportunities on Monday Night RAW. Hopefully he will win the WWE championship soon while working in the red brand of WWE.
Since coming to Monday Night RAW, these two former World Champions are having a tough time against each other. Owens came to RAW as a babyface but during the progress of this feud he turned heel. Once again he showed that he is more entertaining as a heel.
Of course he was a great babyface, but WWE failed to utilise his babyface gimmick properly. When the WWE championship feud started, it was only a two way feud between Big E and Seth Rollins. Owens joined after that and Bobby Lashley at the end to make it a four way feud.
When the feud started, Owens and Rollins could not stand each other. But this week on Monday Night RAW, Owens and Rollins teamed up to attack Bobby Lashley and Big E. They beat down the current and the previous WWE Champion.
And at the end of the show, not only they celebrated together but they hugged each other as well. It was a little difficult to digest because there was no reason behind these two wrestlers suddenly working together.
Just because both of them are heel, they are now friends – the oldest logic of professional wrestling. But this unlikely team would be quite interesting. We believe they should win the RAW Tag Team Championship together. It would be quite fun to see.
Kevin Owens who is also a former three times WWE United States champion recently spoke to TVA Sports’ wrestling podcast, les Anti-Pods de la Lutte, with Pat Laprade and Kevin Raphael where he talked about his chemistry with the former four times WWE World Champion Seth Rollins. He also talked about the recent angle with the Kingslayer. He said;
“When it’s been so long you know someone, like Seth, I’ve known him for 15 years now, you develop a chemistry with that person after all those years. With Seth, it’s a different chemistry, because a chemistry like the one we have right now, we didn’t really know we had that. We knew we could do good matches and provide good wrestling together, but we never really had a chance to do some back and forth like this, so it’s fun to realize that there’s something there.
“I just thought it was the best thing to do at that time and everybody thought the same thing, so that’s what we did. If you look at how we got there, it would have not made sense to do anything else than that. It’s an idea I came up with and I believe it worked out perfectly.”
