Another huge match is now official for WWE Smackdown’s debut on FOX as we will have a ladder match. Kevin Owens will take on Shane McMahon for one final time with a huge stipulation added to it. Shane wanted to withdraw the $100,000 fine from Owens if he was willing to drop the lawsuit. But The Prizefighter had some other idea and proposed to have a ladder match, instead.

Ladder Match, Four Horsewomen, Legends’ Return & More Confirmed For WWE Smackdown FOX Debut

There was a catch though. If Shane McMahon wins then Kevin Owens will stay fired from WWE. But if Owens wins then Shane will no more be present in the WWE. Moreover, it will be a ladder match where the legal documents will hang from the top of the ladder. Here’s the official announcement by WWE.com on this mouth-watering bout,

“Owens threatened Shane-O-Mac with a massive lawsuit and set out to hit him where it hurts most: the wallet. Presented with the possibility of an ongoing court battle, KO offered McMahon an alternative settlement for their dispute. The rivals agreed to put their careers on the line in a Ladder Match on the FOX Friday Night SmackDown premiere with the loser fired from WWE.

Will Owens get the chance to hand “The Best in the World” his walking papers, or will McMahon get rid of his most insubordinate employee once and for all? Tune in to the Friday Night SmackDown premiere on Oct. 4 on FOX at 8/7 C.”

The rivalry between Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens has been a long one that has already produced a match at Summerslam 2019. Owens turned into a babyface for this match speaking the truth about how Shane was overshadowing the younger generation. He was so irate about the fact that he did not dare to put his career on the line on that night. He came out as the winner in front of his home country of Canada hinting that the feud was over for good.

But that was not the case as Shane McMahon continued to pin him back for nothing. He was the sole reason why Kevin Owens lost his spot at the King of the Ring tournament. Shane also put a fine of $100,000 for hitting Elias who was a special ring enforcer at Summerslam. Two weeks ago, the authority figure decided to reconsider the same appointing Owens as the special guest referee for King of the Ring semi-finale.

His job was to secure the win for Shane McMahon who was giving proxy on behalf of Elias at King of the Ring tournament. Gable picked up the submission win over him that led McMahon to fire Kevin Owens, on the spot. Moving forward, the matter forwarded into a lawsuit where Owens mentioned if he wins then we won’t be having Shane on Smackdown, anymore. That’s what he ensured with the announced ladder match that has stacked up the card for the huge FOX debut of WWE, next week.
