Professional wrestling legend and former WWE champion Kofi Kingston who is also a former 13 times WWE Tag Team Champion recently revealed his favorite opponents in WWE and talked about it. He also talked about the run of New Day in the NXT.
The New Day is a professional wrestling stable especially based in WWE that was founded back in 2014. This promotion is considered as the best ever stable in professional wrestling history by a lot of fans and wrestling critics. It consisted three members, Big E, Xavier Woods and of course the former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston.
Kofi Kingston Reveals Who Are His Favorite Opponents
The stable came into existence back in 2014. From the very first day of its existence it had been a huge success among the fans. They went through babyface and heel turns and they were great in both of their characters. They were really good at taking heat during there heel run as well.
Most of the times the stable focused on Tag Team Championship gold. But the three of them earned individual success as well while being in the stable. It was Kofi Kingston who first got the individual success as he won the WWE championship back in 2019 after he defeated Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35.
It was Big E who won the WWE championship after that. He won the Money in the Bank ladder match last year and cashed it in on Bobby Lashley. And Xavier Woods won the King of the Ring tournament last year. The future of this table looks quite bright. They are still together and they will always be remembered as one of the best stables in the history of professional wrestling. Recently, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston won the NXT Tag Team Championship.
Kofi Kingston who is also a former 13 times WWE Tag Team Champion recently spoke to TV Insider where he revealed his favorite opponents in WWE and talked about it. He also talked about the run of New Day in the NXT. He said;
“We’ll keep Usos as one. I’ll say the Usos for sure. If you’ve seen our tag matches, then I don’t need to explain it. Dolph Ziggler, he and I joke that back in the day we could have a best-of-500 series. Every match was always fun and incredible. I actually like having matches with Sami Zayn because of the visceral reactions he is able to garner from the crowd.
“Kevin Owens is actually really good. His skill level is amazing. Our matches are always great. Edge is really good. One of the first for me. When you’re in the ring with him, you just know it’s going to be good because he is an amazing storyteller and competitor.
“Too much fun. It has been amazing to mix it up with the kids down there. People who are trying to find themselves and their characters. They are in that infancy stage of what they will become. It’s very exciting to help them along. It’s an honor to be down there. It’s an honor to be an NXT champ. We have a big match coming up at Vengeance Day. We plan to be champs for a very long time.”
