It was sweet redemption time for Kofi Kingston on Smackdown as he finally got his hands on The Viper after suffering two back to back ambushes. This time around, Randy Orton was lying on his back as the WWE Champion returned the favor in the most significant way. The show kicked off with the Apex Predator who was all happy for victimizing Kofi Kingston on the past episodes of Smackdown and Raw with the help of The Revival and the three most destructive letters in sports entertainment – RKO.

New Day’s music started to play but no one entered the ramp. Suddenly, we saw Kofi Kingston standing behind Randy Orton who delivered a Trouble in Paradise to put him down. He also brought a chair and hit Orton’s knee to give a payback from Raw. Orton beat down Woods and hurt his knees that landed him straight into the hospital. Kofi Kingston sought revenge for this incident and also scared away The Revival who tried to interfere. Some chair shots followed on them as the champion stood tall in the middle of the ring.
Daniel Bryan Reveals Potential Attacker Of Roman Reigns On Smackdown
The championship feud between Randy Orton and Kofi Kingston took a new direction from last week onwards. At Summerslam, the WWE Champion beat up his opponent to get himself disqualified since the latter one had a staredown with his family. But Kofi forgot that he was going after The Viper who has the best striking ability and we saw some glimpses on the recent editions of Smackdown and Raw, consecutively.
Randy Orton delivered RKOs to each member of The New Day last week on Smackdown with the help of The Revival. Their alliance continued on Raw as another beatdown followed on the Smackdown tag team champions on Monday night. Xavier Woods got hurt seriously that landed him into the hospital. So WWE.com predicted that Kofi Kingston would take a stand for his brothers,
“Last Tuesday on SmackDown LIVE, Randy Orton left The New Day in a world of hurt. With an assist from The Revival, The Viper dropped Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston with RKOs, even delivering two to the WWE Champion. Last night on Raw, Orton struck again, dropping all three New Day members with RKOs, then forced Kingston to watch as The Revival brutally attacked Woods, sending him to a local medical facility for further examination. How will Kingston deal with the venomous Viper as their heated rivalry continues?”
As seen on Smackdown, Kofi Kingston prevailed signaling that he is not going down against The Viper without giving a fight. These two are likely to collide at Clash of Champions in a rematch.
