Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle who is a former six times World Champion in WWE and a former six times TNA Heavyweight Champion of the World recently addressed the rumours of his potential in ring return and talked about it.
Kurt Angle wrestled his final match at WrestleMania 35 where he lost to the former WWE United States Champion Baron Corbin. It was announced that he would retire from professional wrestling after this match but at a point it seemed like it this would only be a kayfabe retirement as it looked as if he was in a pretty good shape.

Kurt Angle Discusses Potential In Ring Return
But unfortunately, it actually turned out to be his retirement match. WWE was vastly criticized for the way they booked Angle’s last match. But WWE had a terrible reputation of not giving proper farewell matches to any of their legends. It was really heartbreaking for Angle’s fans to retire from in ring action all of a sudden like this.
But he kept on making sporadic appearances in WWE every now and then on special occasions. His latest appearance took place in a recent episode of Friday Night Smackdown where he recreated his famous milk bath segment from 2001, this time he did it on The Alpha Academy. It was quite a feel good moment. Surely, he will be seen making more sporadic appearances in future but it is nearly impossible to see him back in in ring action ever again, unfortunately.

Kurt Angle who is a former six times World Champion in WWE and a former six times TNA Heavyweight Champion of the World recently spoke on Bill Apter of Sportskeeda Wrestling where he addressed the rumours of his potential in ring return and talked about it. He said;
“I don’t think so. I had a knee replacement five months ago. I’m good. I think I’ve had a good enough career that I’m very proud of.” WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle told Bill Apter of Sportskeeda Wrestling.

“If it does come to be, then it will probably be a tag match like Ric Flair did so that I don’t get exposed. I hate to say it, but I’m not exactly the same wrestler I used to be. But if I did decide to have a wrestling match, it would be against younger guys that could carry me. And I’d make sure that it was a tag match, so I was not exposed.
“It’s hard to say this right now because I’m basically telling the fans, ‘Hey, I can’t really wrestle anymore but watch me in my next match!’ But I’m just telling the truth. I’m an honest person, and I’m just saying I’m not like I used to be and never will be. But you know what, maybe down the road, I might do a tag match.”
