Kurt Angle On Working In TNA’s Ring

There were of course different styles of rings like the barbed wire of the Extreme Championship Wrestling ECW, there are there even no rope rings in some wrestling matches. But the six cornered ring was completely unique and it was loved by the fans.

Even though they did not start in that way. When the promotion was first started in 2002 it used four cornered rings. The six cornered ring was something that made the promotion different from the other professional wrestling promotions. TNA aka Impact Wrestling does not use the six cornered ring anymore.

Once again they have gone back to the four cornered ring. The six cornered ring never made any such difference but it actually made TNA unique from the other promotions and it also gave the fans a reason to watch the show.

“The ring’s smaller. It’s six sides. It’s really harder to adapt to. Especially if you’re wrestling in a four-corner ring. It was difficult. It took me a few months to adapt to it, but eventually, I got it.

“I actually liked it better. It’s a faster-moving pace, yeah. The matches are a lot faster. You’re flying off the ropes and before you know it the guy’s right there. So, it’s a lot different than a four-sided ring.”
