Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle who is a former time world champion in WWE and also a six times TNA Heavyweight Champion of the World recently revealed the worst storyline in his professional wrestling career that he worked in.
Kurt Angle revealed that the worst storyline office entire professional wrestling career was with Booker T and his wife Sharmell. He said that she was not comfortable working in this storyline feels he had utter respect for Booker T and Sharmell. But he also like to take new challenges in his career all the time that was why he accepted to work in the storyline.
Kurt Angle Reveals His Worst Ever Storyline
In this storyline, Angle got sexually obsessed with Booker T’s wife Sharmell and he was ready to do anything to get her. She was continuously trying to assault her sexually. Booker T kept on trying to save his wife from the evil Angle.
The duo had a number of matches during this feud. At first the duo made at the Judgement Day pay per view event of 2005 where Booker T defeated Angle. After this event, Angle won a winner’s toys Battle Royal where the winner got to take his desired opponent and match type.
After Angle won the match, she demanded to face Sharmell. Teddy Long made this match two on one where he did Booker T as Sharmell’s partner. Angle won this match and he pinned Sharmell in a sexual position. After he pinned her he sat on top of her stomach to dominate her more. Luckily Booker T saved her wife again. In their last match, Booker T defeated Angle closing the feud and winning it.
The whole storyline was quite disturbing. Anyone would feel bad for Sharmell while seeing her getting sexually harassed almost every week, even though it was all kayfabe. To see a wrestler like Kurt Angle in such a feud was not easy to digest. Quite naturally Angle did not like it. It did not suit is gimmick at all. These types of storylines are not possible in today’s wrestling, thankfully.

“I have no idea where the idea came from. Vince (McMahon) is kind of a ribber. He’ll do stuff to mess with you a little bit and shove it in your face. I think that he thought I had this fetish for black women. I like all women, white, black, hispanic, it doesn’t matter. My wife is half Hispanic and half Italian.
“I think Vince thought I had this fetish for black women and he thought it would be a funny program. I was not comfortable by any means. I had so much respect for Booker T and Sharmell. To do that and pretend I was stalking his wife, it was the worst angle I have ever done. It was the worst storyline I’ve ever done. I did it anyway because I’ve always been a team player, but I was not comfortable doing it.
“They were incredible. Very entertaining. Sharmell never missed a spot. She was on all the time. She had great timing. Booker T is one of the best wrestlers I’ve ever got in the ring with. Those two together are unstoppable.”
