Kurt Angle vs. CM Punk is obviously a dream match for the majority of wrestling fans. This is a match that a lot of fans dreamed of witnessing but they had to calm themselves by simulating the experience in video games only.

Both Kurt Angle and CM Punk have been six times WWE World Championships. They had been the bests of their respective times. But a match between these two individuals can never see the outcome anymore since Kurt Angle is already 52.

But WWE has proved it again and again that names of the wrestlers are bigger than their performances. Dream matches Goldberg vs. The Undertaker or DX vs. Brothers of Destruction have never been the best matches but fans were extremely excited to see them.

Same can be considered for Kurt Angle vs. CM Punk, if it ever happens. Right now, it is almost impossible to see since CM Punk does not want to make his return that much and Kurt is pretty much done with wrestling too.

But during a recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show podcast, he expressed his desire to work with CM Punk. He praised Punk for his amazing work and his promos;

“That’s a tough one.  I never talked to him.  I don’t really know him, but I watched his wrestling and I really appreciated it and that is CM Punk.  We would have had a great match.  It would have been incredible.  I would have loved to work with him.  He’s fire with promos.”

He talked about his WWE and TNA entrance themes, which one he prefers to be the better one;

“I loved them both.  I didn’t pick my WWE song.  Vince McMahon picked it for me.  I picked my TNA song.  It was a spinoff of the movie, ‘Vision Quest’.  The song is called ‘Lunatic Fringe.’  It’s an amateur wrestling movie.  I’m a big fan of amateur wrestling, obviously.  I decided to use that melody in my mix.  I had John Cena’s cousin, Tha Trademarc, do the rapping.  He was awesome.  It was a bada*s entrance song.  Which one did I like better?  I still like my WWE theme song.  I think it fits me perfectly.”

Even though the match is far from being imminent, it is not impossible. And in the world of pro wrestling, nothing is impossible. If Bret Hart can make a return to WWE, anything is possible.
