Kurt Angle is one of the biggest legends of professional wrestling and he has wrestled some of the biggest names in the business throughout his pro wrestling career. He has accomplished almost everything that was possible for him like winning multiple World Championship, main eventing WrestleMania, etc.
Kurt Angle even had a couple of matches with Ric Flair who is considered one of the best in the business. His first match took place back in 2005 in an episode of Monday Night RAW. Ric Flair might have been one of the best ever but he was pretty much out of his prime, still, it was a big match.

Ric Flair was working solo during the time as Evolution was over. Both Randy Orton and Batista left the faction, Triple H was also out of action after his WrestleMania 21 victory. Flair was working solo during the time. Angle recently remembered this match when he recently spoke on his latest episode of his ‘The Kurt Angle Show’ podcast where he said;
On his first ever match with Ric Flair: “I’ll tell you this, that night he was not in shape, okay? He didn’t wrestle for like a long time, like eight, 10 months. And he, when he did wrestle, it was very few and far in between. And when he wooed that night, he blew up. He got tired, wooing up the wound, blew up, got tired.

“He was at the end. Yeah. And, and later on he said, ‘listen, man, I’m not that great of shape. I don’t know what I’m gonna do. You’re gonna have to give some rest periods where, you know, put me in a rest, hold. Let me get my breath.’ So, you know, here’s Ric Flair, the greatest of all time.
“He’ll tell me, ‘Hey, pace this match. Make sure I can get through it.’ And you know what? Ric is the hardest worker in the business. He just wasn’t active at this point in his career. So unfortunately he wasn’t able to, you know, go in there and give 110%.” Concluded the Olympic Gold Medallist.

Angle had a couple of matches with The Nature Boy and in all of those matches the former five times WWE World Champion came out victorious. But it was pretty unfortunate that this legendary duo never had a proper feud and unfortunately, it is not possible anymore.
