The ongoing feud between Liv Morgan and WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has been heating up in recent weeks. The champion stole a win over the challenger, two weeks ago and then assaulted her, last week before confirming a rematch for the WWE Day 1 event.
In response, Liv Morgan has tried to seek redemption outside WWE TV programming. WWE shared an exclusive video of the challenger attempting to ambush Becky while training for the Day 1 pay-per-view.
As seen in the video, the former Riott Squad member initially thought that she’s attacking the RAW Women’s Champion with a kendo stick, but it’s not actually her. It was the brown hair of the female talent that forced the challenger to think that she was Big Time Becks.
Eventually, Becky arrived from behind and took away the kendo stick to hammer away on her opponent. Liv Morgan hit an enziguri to take back the stick as she unloaded on her with it. The two featured in a brawl for a short time, but Becky walked away from the ring as she instructed the other trainees to attack her Day 1 opponent.
Liv Morgan was injured on Raw
Over on last week’s RAW from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, an angle took place where the RAW Women’s Champion had a physical confrontation with Liv Morgan. It occurred before their rematch was made official for the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view.
The segment ended with Becky smashing her current rival’s elbow against the steel ring steps. The victim was trying to sell the attack as the officials came out to help her after which Lynch declared that she will defend her title against the former Riott Squad member. In an update, WWE has announced that Liv Morgan suffered a deep bone bruise and a strained radial collateral ligament in her left arm.
In the dark match main event from last week, Big Time Becks faced Bianca Belair in a non-title match. The finishing sequence saw Bianca pinning Becky clean after hitting the KOD just after a week she suffered another pinfall win at the hands of Sasha Banks. Now speculations also suggest that Liv Morgan is likely to receive her first title match win against Becky at Day 1 PPV.
