Liv Morgan is considered to be the biggest discovery in WWE women’s division in recent times. Following Money in the Bank 2022 event, she is the reigning Smackdown Women’s Champion. Growing up, she was pretty open about idolizing John Cena. Recently, she also admitted to having a massive crush on the 16-time World Champion.
Apart from sharing the love for the squared circle, Liv Morgan and John Cena are also sneaker admirers. Speaking about the same on Sneaker Shopping with Complex, the current champion from Smackdown was asked about the Cenation Leader sporting the vintage Reebok Pumps at one point in his WWE career.

While responding to the topic, Liv Morgan would go on to reveal how she used to have a crush on the WWE Legend. While she never had the chance to be around him during Cena’s heyday, the Legendary Superstar did motivate her in her subconscious mind.

Liv Morgan spoke up about her admiration for John Cena
“I loved John Cena, I thought he was the s–t,” Liv Morgan admitted. “I had such a crush on him. He would pump his little sneakers, and I’d pump my sneakers and I didn’t even have pumps. I would just [pretend] to push my little pumps [while watching him on TV].
I thought he was amazing. He has been, whether I know it or not, a subconscious influence on my career. You know because he wore sneakers for the majority of his career, so I think maybe it’s something that kind of embedded in my mind, and maybe a reason why I like to wear sneakers.”
Back on June 20, WWE Superstar Liv Morgan shared a backstage photo of herself posing with John Cena after the latter returned on that night’s episode of RAW to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his career. She was seemingly over the moon, that night by sharing the frame with her childhood hero.
Within two weeks from that night, Liv Morgan would go on to Becky Lynch, Asuka, Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Shotzi, and Raquel Rodriguez to win the 2022 Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match and then successfully cash in the championship match contract, on the same night to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship from Ronda Rousey. Then at Summerslam 2022, she again pinned Ronda to retain the gold.
