Maria Kanellis and her husband Mike Bennett joined Ring of Honor soon after getting released by the WWE more than two years ago. After ROH was vanquished, she started working with IMPACT Wrestling, moving forward. An Honor No More faction was also made with the former ROH stars, earlier this year but that didn’t last long.
According to the previous reports from Fightful Select, IMPACT Wrestling had offered to extend Maria Kanellis’ current contract with the company back in April 2022. She was never exclusive to the promotion who was being paid for her number of appearances. She was also considering her options outside of IMPACT given that her deal with the company would soon be over.

In an update, the same source stated that several Impact Wrestling Superstars contracts are coming to an end, down the road. The company would be entering an interesting time where it could lose some of its top talents.
Fightful Select reported that Mia Yim’s contract is due in October, while Maria Kanellis confirmed that she is signed with the promotion through Bound For Glory set for November. The latter has since stated that she has had talks with WWE, AEW, and Women of Wrestling (WOW) for a return. Some more names like Matt Taven and Mike Bennett’s current deals will also be expiring, soon.

Since getting released from the WWE, one person has always been vocal about her thoughts on how badly she was treated by the company and that name is Maria Kanellis. She and her husband, Mike Bennett were cut from the roster as part of the mass COVID releases in 2020.
The duo’s main problem was with Vince McMahon and his management which is no longer effective. With the new Chief Content Officer Triple H and his team in charge, Maria Kanellis may find her way back to the company, after all now that her Impact deal will soon be over.
