The Kingdom – Mike Bennett, Matt Taven, and Maria Kanellis joined Impact Wrestling following their ROH departure. Their short stint with IMPACT came to an end, quickly as they found their way back to ROH, now dissolved with AEW programming.
Recent reports claim that Mike Bennett, Matt Taven, and Maria Kanellis finished up with Impact Wrestling back on October 8. Afterward, they’re contacted by WWE for a potential deal.

According to Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, the three had talks with WWE about a possible return to the company. However, the lack of a firm offer was unable to bring them in,
“Shortly after the trio left IMPACT Wrestling, there were reports that Matt Taven had interest from WWE. We’re told by WWE sources that there were actually conversations with all three members of the Kingdom, including Maria Kanellis and Mike Bennett, however, no firm offer was in place to bring them in, and it was more of a feeling out process between the two sides.”

Maria Kanellis made her AEW debut on Rampage
On the October 14 episode of AEW Rampage, the trio made their debut during AEW programming after the main event of Rampage inside the Coca-Cola Coliseum. Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, and Maria Kanellis arrived on the ramp following FTR and Shawn Spears picked up a win over The Embassy.
Maria Kanellis distracted FTR and Shawn Spears with a promo that allowed The Embassy to attack the winners of the match. It was a five-on-three assault until Samoa Joe and Wardlow neutralized the scene. The show then came to a close with Joe and Wardlow saving FTR and Shawn Spears while The Embassy and The Kingdom watched from the outside.
We will have to wait and see how The Kingdom will do in the AEW in the coming weeks. Hopefully, they will have given substantial roles. Maria Kanellis also has propositions in store for the ROH women’s division. But, there are also a lot of doubts over ROH and AEW’s futures.
With Triple H in charge of the WWE, he’s bringing back a lot of former talents of the company, and Maria Kanellis was supposed to be one of them as the manager of The Kingdom. However, The First Lady has signed a contract with the AEW to remain with the company for the foreseeable future.
