Maria Kanellis has been thriving in the professional wrestling industry with her husband by her side since getting released by the WWE. After the let-go happened in the year 2020, she became one of the head-honchos of the Ring of Honor Women’s division. But since the company went on to a hiatus, she’s now back at the place where she once won a Women’s Championship.
As seen at Impact Hard To Kill 2022, four Ring Of Honor stars accompanied by Maria Kanellis invaded the show which came as a major surprise for the fans. Matt Taven, Vincent, Mike Bennett, and PCO made their presence felt following the hardcore match between Eddie Edwards, Rich Swann, Willie Mack, Heath and Rhino vs. The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) and Violent By Design (Eric Young, Deaner, and Joe Doering).

The team led by Maria Kanellis focused their attack on Heath and Rhino but then Willie Mack and Rich Swann tried to backfire. Eventually, these two names were also beaten up. All five of the ROH superstars then posed in the ring for a celebration as the commentary team mentioned that it was an ROH invasion.

Maria Kanellis would work in future Impact tapings?
Backstage interviewer Gia Miller asked Impact owner Scott D’Amore about the happenings. He was unable to give a definitive answer and suggested her to give a call to Baltimore, where ROH headquarters is located.
Maria Kanellis then took to Instagram and hinted at joining Impact Wrestling after the attack, “I’m DAMN Hard to Kill!! Time to make an IMPACT. Still THE FIRST LADY!! This is me. Mama Maria will make everyone remember her name. What’s NEXT?”
As reported earlier, Ring of Honor indicated an indefinite hiatus after its Final Battle PPV in December. The promotion plans on returning in April with its Supercard of Honor event, during the WrestleMania weekend but confirmation is yet to be received. For the time being, their contracted superstars will keep on performing in other companies.
Maria Kanellis seems to be one of those names who could be working in the upcoming Impact Wrestling tapings. Multiple ROH Superstars Jonathan Gresham, the ROH World Champion (who successfully defended the ROH title against Impact’s Chris Sabin) and Rok-C, the ROH Women’s Champion also featured at Hard to Kill, clearly showing that a partnership between ROH and Impact has been made.
