As reported earlier, WWE announced that The Bella Twins, Brie, and her twin sister Nikki Bella will be returning for this year’s Royal Rumble PPV. In that announcement, 17 other Superstars were also revealed who will be competing in the 30-Woman Rumble Match, making it a star-studded field. The Bellas will act as the star powers in this match given they do have a huge mainstream value.
Soon after the confirmation arrived from the WWE, Nikki Bella took to Twitter and Instagram to make some comments on her upcoming return, along with a message for RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. She also thanked Dr. Uribe for medically clearing her to return to the ring.
Triple H Bummed Out With Recent WWE NXT Releases
Dr. Juan Santiago Uribe is the neurosurgeon to Nikki Bella who has been taking care of things for the WWE Hall of Famer’s neck over the past several years. This all started with the surgery that she had in early 2016 after breaking her neck. Uribe saw how much pain the former champion had to go through, on her way to the recovery process.
Nikki Bella overcame neck injury to make her return
Now, he has taken to his Instagram profile to comment on this big Royal Rumble return,
“Everyone will see you fighting on TV, but I’ve seen you fighting (and winning!) to get back in that ring. Thanks for your loyalty and support @thenikkibella #sonntagspinecenter #neurosurgery #spinesurgery #acdf #bellaarmy #wwe.”
Nikki Bella has not wrestled since losing to Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s Championship at the WWE Evolution pay-per-view on October 28, 2018. She announced in June 2019 on Total Bellas that she had to retire from in-ring competition after a cyst was found on her brain.
But last year after giving birth to her baby boy Matteo, she seemed pretty confident about coming back to in-ring action. Taking to Twitter, the Fearless One already declared that this comeback is dedicated to her son, Matteo. Apart from competing in the Rumble, Nikki Bella is focused to go after titles, for sure.
Her will has been reflected in one of her recent posts as she sent a warning to the reigning Women’s tag team champions Carmella and Zelina Vega,
“@thebriebella craving this again too… whatcha think Champ? Oh hi @carmellawwe & @theatrinidad.”
