WWE is trying to make a breakthrough into the Indian market for nearly two decades. The first attempt they made was back in 2006 when they brought The Great Khali into the promotion and awarded him with a huge push through The Undertaker. It was his first feud upon his debut and he made a statement through it.
In spite of being one of the most criticized wrestlers of the time, Khali went on to win the World Heavyweight Championship on the following year and it was all booked just to catch the huge market of India. They were pretty much successful in catching the market of India by lifting Khali and today India is one of their biggest markets.

Massive Push Alert: WWE Sets Its Sights on Elevating Indian Star To New Heights
However, there are talks of pushing more Indian stars in WWE, and this time they might not need to catch the Indian market since they are already in it. The push would be given to someone who pretty much deserves it. Reports from Boozer Wrestling suggest that the promotion is currently planning for a huge push for Veer.
Veer was brought to the main roster by Vince McMahon previously last year when he attempted to give a big push to the Indian star. He received huge victories over the likes of Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. But after Triple H became in charge of the creative, the push was canceled and Veer was sent back to NXT.

WWE Is Planning For A Big Push For Indian Star Veer
After returning to the NXT, he teamed up with his fellow Indian superstar Sanga and they dominated the Tag Team division of the NXT under the guidance of former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal. Together, this deadly trio started to be addressed as the Indus Sher.
Recently, The Indus Sher was called up to the main roster during the WWE Draft 2023. They were drafted to Monday Night RAW. They have made a number of appearances on Monday Night RAW and squashed some jobbers. This week on RAW, they destroyed the former WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin.

The way the Indus Sher is being built on the main roster, they could definitely go on to win the WWE Tag Team Championship in the near future. However, Veer might have a bigger future since Vince McMahon also wanted to push him as a singles star. We wish all the best to both Veer and Sanga.
