Former WWE star and a former eleven times Tag Team champion in WWE Matt Hardy who is also a former ECW World Champion recently talked about his faction The Firm and revealed that he had been looking for some heavy hitters who could face his faction.
Matt Hardy joined the All Elite Wrestling during the covid 19 pandemic last year and his epic debut took place inside an empty hall. This was the reason we could not see the expected reactions from this debut. Of course there are YouTube reactions but we all know that live crowd reaction during these kind of debuts are extremely fun to watch.
Matt Hardy Is Looking For Legit Opponents For The Firm
And he made his AEW debut under his Broken gimmick, something that WWE could not utilize very well, or they did not. So it was being expected as one of the most electrifying debuts of the AEW but the pandemic ruined everything.
But Matt Hardy did not continue his broken gimmick for long as he changed his gimmick to something completely different. Something he never played before, and after he played this gimmick he proved to the world how talented he is, he can literally do anything in professional wrestling, he can play any given gimmick perfectly. And he has also proved it so many times that he can give big matches as well, so it is very much possible to see him as the next AEW World Champion.
Since making his AEW debut he did not win any Championship yet. During his WWE career he won a lot of championships including the ECW World Championship, WWE United States Championship, a total of eleven Tag Team championships and many other titles.
Also in TNA he won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship two times. But with the overcrowded roster that AEW has right now, we do not see enough possibility to see him winning any Championship right now. And about the World championship, it would be very difficult since the competition is very high.
Matt Hardy who is also a former ECW World Champion recently spoke on his fellow AEW star Isiah Kassidy’s Youtube channel where he talked about his faction The Firm and revealed that he had been looking for some heavy hitters who could face his faction. He said;
“There’s definitely gonna be blowback…but it’s all good. I got a plan in place. I got a secret weapon. I got a secret weapon that’s going to be inserted into this, and also HOOK is our boy. HOOK’s on our side. He said whatever we need him for, he’s in. Plus, we got friends. Our Rolodex is deep. We got friends, and I’m gonna be ready to call in some heavy hitters. It’s gonna be a fun time.
“It’s time to party hardy with the Hardy Party and delete The Firm. My prediction is when this is all said and done, you and I, The Firm thought they were bringing us in and making our life hell and they’re just gonna make money off us. But what they did is allow us to come in and, from the inside, we internally destroyed that bitch. When it’s all said and done, there’s not gonna be a Firm. We gonna shut that shit down.”
