Former WWE star and current AEW Elite Matt Hardy recently expressed his desire to finish his career along with his brother Jeff Hardy. Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy started their career together, they earned their fame together, The Hardy Boys are considered as one of the best tag teams in professional wrestling history.

The Hardy Boys started their professional wrestling career way back in1992. After spending a couple of years on the independent circuit, the two brothers came to the World Wrestling Entertainment. They were mostly seen as jobbers when they started their WWE career. Their first highlight together was getting squashed by Kane on his debut match in 1997 in an episode of Monday Night RAW.

Matt Hardy Wants To Finish His Career With Jeff Hardy

They were first addressed as the Hardy Boys in 1998. They kept on working as a tag team till 2002. After that they focused on their singles career. Jeff Hardy Departed from WWE in 2003 and joined TNA wrestling weather Matt Hardy kept on working in WWE.

Jeff Hardy returns to WWE in 2006 as a main eventer this time. He won a total of three WWE championships in a very short amount of time. Currently Matt Hardy is an Elite at the All Elite Wrestling and Jeff Hardy is still in WWE but performing jobber roles right now.

Matt Hardy recently did Q&A with Twitch where he expressed his desire to finish his career along with his brother Jeff Hardy. He said;

“The gimmick I would like to end my career on, I would like to finish my career teaming with my brother as the Hardy Boyz. Real life Matt and real life Jeff, doing our thing. I feel like that’s a beautiful way to tie up a career. To go out the way you came in, I think that’s super cool. I would like to finish my career with my brother as a team.

“Recently, I mentioned this and I saw a couple of websites say, ‘Matt wants Jeff Hardy to come to AEW for one more match.’ That’s incorrect. To correct the record, I would love to have Jeff come to AEW so we could team together. There are a lot of great teams there. A proper Hardyz vs. Young Bucks feud would be amazing.”
