Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley who is a former three times WWE World Champion recently looked back at his feud with eleven times WWE World champion Randy Orton which took place back in 2004 and talked about it.
The feud between Mick Foley and Randy Orton actually started in the late 2003 but we got to see the best of it throughout the early half of 2004. The storyline continued through Royal Rumble where Foley eliminated Randy Orton and himself on the same time. It was an excellent continuation of the storyline.

Mick Foley Remembers His Feud With Randy Orton From 2004
At WrestleMania XX there was rumour of a one on one match between Foley and Randy Orton but WWE came up with even a better idea, they book a three on two handicap match where the Rock n’ Sock Connection took on the legendary stable Evolution. This match was ultimately won by Evolution.
The next installment between the duo took place on the very next pay per view event which was Backlash. This time Orton had to face an alter ego of Foley which was Cactus Jack. It was an amazing Hardcore match and ultimately it was won by Randy Orton. Foley accepted to have this feud just to put over Randy Orton before his World Heavyweight Championship win at Summerslam of the same year.

Mick Foley who is a former three times WWE World Champion recently spoke on his Foley Is Pod podcast where he looked back at his feud with eleven times WWE World champion Randy Orton which took place back in 2004 and talked about it. He said;
“The promo which was not popular with a few of the heels backstage that thought I made Randy look weak. Because I stopped and I cut a promo on how I had been spit on, pee’d on, thrown up on, pooped on, and all of this, and that I remember he did look fearful as I was cutting that promo.

“I said, ‘I was bleeding in six continents when you were still latched onto your mother’s breast.’ I guess some of the main players thought I made him look weak. But remember the big picture — you have to. Remember how Triple H acknowledged Cactus Jack as a threat?”
“If you brush me off after everything you’ve done to me, I was taking a major beating week after week after week and you don’t give me a hope spot? Besides, you’re getting the win, and so now, you need to acknowledge the threat in front of you in order for your overcoming that threat to mean anything. If you’ve beaten a guy who you’ve built up to be nothing, then you’ve beaten nobody. I know a good promo when I hear it, and I think I even alluded to it in the 2006 book. Ask Randy Orton how he thought that promo went.”
