WWE Hall of Famer ‘The Hardcore Legend’ Mick Foley recently remembered his legendary Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker from King of the Ring pay per view event of 1998.
This was a historical match. Needless to say it was declared as the match of the year in 1998 by most of the media houses. This match also brought all the recognition for Mick Foley. The man who was always considered a mid carder was a what the main event II after this match.

The biggest shocker of this match was The fall of Foley from the top of the cell. Today it is nothing special but back in the day it was extremely shocking as such hardcore moves Where are not very common in WWE. This was the match that brought the famous nickname of Foley, ‘The Hardcore Legend.’
Professional wrestling does not define a wrestler by number of wins and losses, this match is the biggest proof of it. In spite of losing the match, Foley and all the recognition. Much like Shane McMahon’s infamous fall from SummerSlam 2000 against Steve Blackman. Blackman won that particular match but nobody talked about him.

Mick Foley appeared as a guest on the Broken Skull Sessions of Stone Cold Steve Austin where he talked about this match and conversation with the Undertaker about this match. He said;
“We start reminiscing and Taker looks at me — he still called me ‘Jack’ at the time, one of the last holdouts from my Cactus Jack days — ‘Jack, what you and I did that night will outlive us both.

“People will be talking about that match long after we’re gone,’” Foley recalled. “It was almost like I feel this weight being lifted off my shoulders. Then I realized, wait a second, I wanted to make people feel the way I felt the night that I saw Snuka come off of that cage — and I’ve done it. And I’m too stubborn to realize it.
“You know how many great workers there have been in our business who aren’t remembered for anything? It’s like, not only do I have this match, but the title change with The Rock. I got a few things and it no longer bothers me that I’m asked about that match every single day.”
